Discover the story behind the Duckworth Lewis Calculator – your go-to tool for fair cricket match adjustments.
Our Mission
At Duckworth Lewis Calculator, we are passionate about cricket and committed to providing accurate, user-friendly tools for fans, players, and officials worldwide. Our flagship DLS calculator helps compute revised targets in rain-interrupted matches, ensuring fairness and excitement in the game we love.
The History of DLS
The Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method was devised by English statisticians Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis in the 1990s, with later updates by Professor Steven Stern. It revolutionized limited-overs cricket by offering a mathematical formula to adjust targets when weather intervenes.
Officially adopted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1999 and renamed DLS in 2014, it considers remaining overs and wickets to maintain balance between teams.
Our calculator implements the standard edition of this method, making complex calculations accessible to everyone – from casual fans to professional analysts.
