How to use this calculator

Economy rate measures a bowler’s average runs conceded for each over. The lower the figure, the fewer runs conceded per six legal balls.

Formula: Runs conceded × 6 ÷ Legal balls bowled. A bowler conceding 32 runs in four overs has an economy rate of 8.00.

Use runs officially charged to the bowler. Wides and no-balls normally affect runs conceded but do not add legal deliveries. Byes and leg byes are not normally charged against the bowler.
